How to Post Empty
PostSubject: How to Post   How to Post EmptyThu Mar 18, 2010 10:25 am

It occurred to me that it would be a good thing to establish a guideline on posting so there isn't as much confusion when it starts. Consider these the guidelines for how this will work. We'll change it as needed as we go along and figure out what best works for us as a group.

After the GM has established a new scene with an initial post in a thread, players may post as their characters in reply posts. Make sure and use the [quote] feature on the forum so everyone is clear what or who you are responding to. This will also allow people to reply to characters out of sequence of when they were posted which can be a good thing. Feel free to say or do whatever you think best suites your character. Write it and take control of the story in that way.

Once your character is satisfied with the interaction in that scene's thread, post a final reply letting the GM know that you have nothing else you wish to accomplish with that scene. This can be simply you posting a reply that states "END OF MY TURN". If things go for too long on a single scene without any new interaction or notice of an end of turn, I will close the thread and lock that scene and move on to the next. Once you post "END OF MY TURN" you are done. There is no going back and re-starting your interaction unless it is required in game for some reason that I'm not currently considering.

Remember you have the PM features and can communicate in private to one another.

Once we go into any combat or skill check round time frame, I will do a back and forth request with you the player, letting you know what you need to do in order to accomplish your stated objective. This should be pretty simple really. Don't worry too much on the rules at the moment. I'll walk you through them as we go and it will be fairly painless.
